Axiro Semiconductor Appoints Venkata Vanukuru as Vice President & General Manager of Power Business Unit
Bengaluru-based Axiro Semiconductor has appointed semiconductor veteran Venkata Vanukuru as Vice President & General Manager of its Power Business Unit, with responsibility spanning business strategy, product and technology roadmaps, engineering, sales and customer partnerships.
Bengaluru-based Axiro Semiconductor has appointed Venkata Vanukuru as Vice President & General Manager of its Power Business Unit, strengthening the company's leadership as it expands beyond its RF portfolio into power and broader analog semiconductor technologies.
In his new role, Vanukuru will head the Power Business Unit with responsibility for P&L, business strategy, product portfolio, technology roadmap, engineering, sales & business development, customer relationships and strategic partnerships.
Vanukuru brings more than 20 years of semiconductor experience across Analog, Power and RF VLSI, with more than 50 US patents and 60 IEEE conference and journal papers listed on his profile. Before joining Axiro, he served as Vice President of Engineering at Bharat Semi, where he worked on mission-critical CMOS imaging products and analog/power-management IP including ADCs, LDOs, bandgap references, DACs and power sequencers.
He previously spent nearly a decade at GlobalFoundries as Technical Director/DMTS, working across RF, analog and mixed-signal design as well as technology development for RF-SOI, SiGe and GaN. His experience includes RF switches and tuners, LNAs, PAs, LDOs and integrated DC-DC converters across SOI, SiGe, FinFET and CMOS technologies.
Vanukuru also has a strong academic connection to India's semiconductor ecosystem, having served as visiting faculty at IISc Bengaluru and adjunct faculty at IIT Palakkad. He holds a Ph.D. in RF VLSI Design and a Master's degree in Low Power CMOS Design and Testing from IIT Madras
The appointment is another indication of Axiro Semiconductor broadening its technology ambitions from RF into power, analog and mixed-signal semiconductor products, with a dedicated Power Business Unit bringing technology development, engineering and commercial strategy under a single leadership structure.
