India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2026 brought together companies and research institutions working across RF engineering, semiconductors, satellite communications and defence technologies, highlighting India's growing capabilities in next-generation wireless systems.

Among the companies attracting attention was Bengaluru-based Axiro Semiconductors, whose RF semiconductor work was discussed by attendees during the event.

Analog Devices, another major name in the global RF semiconductor industry, also featured in attendee discussions covering RF front-end technologies, system-level solutions and advanced semiconductor technologies.

India's emerging space technology ecosystem was also represented. Sanyark Space discussed its vision for developing integrated Navigation and Communication (Nav-Com) satellite constellations, targeting satellite-based connectivity and precision positioning applications.

Another Indian aerospace startup, Red Balloon Aerospace, highlighted its work on stratospheric platforms and high-altitude airships, technologies that could support future telecommunications applications by providing connectivity from platforms operating above conventional terrestrial infrastructure.

On the academic research side, IIT Roorkee showcased work involving waveguide-based Orbital Angular Momentum (OAM) antenna technology, an advanced antenna research area being explored for future wireless communication systems.

The Indian Air Force was also among the organizations encountered by attendees, reflecting the overlap between telecom, RF engineering and defence technologies at IMC.

For India's budding RF, microwave and semiconductor ecosystem, IMC 2026 provided a platform connecting established semiconductor companies, indigenous RF developers, space startups and academic researchers.

From RF front-end ICs and antenna technologies to satellite constellations and high-altitude communication platforms, the technologies discussed at the event demonstrate the range of engineering activity supporting India's future wireless infrastructure.
