Tessolve Semiconductor Secures $75 Million from Vector Line Capital to Expand Capabilities Through Acquisitions
Bengaluru-based Tessolve Semiconductor has secured a $75 million investment from US-based Vector Line Capital to strengthen its semiconductor engineering capabilities, expand service offerings and pursue strategic acquisitions. The company is already in advanced discussions to close multiple deals over the next two quarters.

Bengaluru-based Tessolve Semiconductor, a venture of Hero Electronix, has secured a $75 million investment from US-based Vector Line Capital, as the semiconductor engineering services company looks to expand its capabilities and strengthen its global presence through strategic acquisitions.
The investment marks Vector Line Capital's first investment in India. The US-based investment firm focuses exclusively on the semiconductor industry and its supply chain, joining existing investors TPG and Novo Tellus Capital Partners in Tessolve.
Tessolve said the new investment will support acquisitions that complement its existing capabilities, broaden its service portfolio and expand its international footprint. The company is already in advanced discussions to complete multiple acquisitions over the next two quarters, although the potential acquisition targets have not been disclosed.
Founded in 2004, Tessolve has evolved from a silicon test engineering company into a semiconductor engineering partner offering capabilities across chip architecture, semiconductor design, validation, testing and embedded systems. The company works across artificial intelligence (AI), high-performance computing (HPC) and analog/mixed-signal semiconductor technologies, serving hyperscalers and 18 of the world's top 20 semiconductor companies.
Srini Chinamilli, Co-founder and CEO of Tessolve, said the company has expanded from silicon test engineering into designing and productising complete chips for companies building AI infrastructure. He added that the investment would support acquisitions to further strengthen Tessolve's offerings, with Vector Line's semiconductor industry focus and relationships expected to add value.
Geoffrey Baldwin, Founder and CEO of Vector Line Capital, highlighted the growing demand for engineering partners capable of supporting the entire semiconductor development cycle. He noted that Tessolve has the scale to deliver services across multiple stages of the semiconductor value chain. Strengthening India's Semiconductor Engineering Ecosystem.
The investment comes around a year after Tessolve secured $150 million from TPG Growth in September 2025, with the earlier investment intended to strengthen global delivery centres, expand advanced test laboratories and accelerate strategic acquisitions. The latest investment further supports the company's ambition to expand its engineering capabilities as semiconductor designs become increasingly complex.
Tessolve is also leveraging in-house semiconductor platforms and design flows to shorten development cycles for AI and HPC chips, supported by global laboratory infrastructure and partnerships with foundries, IP providers, electronic design automation (EDA) companies and test-equipment manufacturers. For India's semiconductor ecosystem, the investment highlights the growing importance of design services, silicon validation, advanced testing and end-to-end chip engineering alongside investments in semiconductor fabrication and packaging. As AI infrastructure, data centres and high-performance computing drive demand for increasingly complex chips, companies with capabilities spanning design through validation and test are becoming important partners for semiconductor developers worldwide.
