Andhra Pradesh Expands Semiconductor Manufacturing Plans Across Sri City and Tarluvada
Andhra Pradesh is strengthening its electronics and semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem through proposed semiconductor activities in Sri City and Tarluvada, alongside new electronics manufacturing clusters.

Andhra Pradesh is expanding its electronics and semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem through industrial development initiatives focused on Sri City, Tarluvada, and six proposed Electronics System Design and Manufacturing (ESDM) clusters.
The state's Electronics Manufacturing Policy 4.0 identifies opportunities to strengthen electronics manufacturing, semiconductor-related activities, and supporting industrial infrastructure.
Sri City already hosts an established manufacturing ecosystem, while specialized semiconductor activities are being planned across Sri City and Tarluvada.
The Union Cabinet-approved ASIP Technologies project is another development highlighted by the Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board as part of the state's semiconductor manufacturing ambitions.
The proposed ecosystem spans multiple stages of the electronics value chain, including silicon carbide fabrication, semiconductor packaging, testing, and electronics assembly.
For RF and semiconductor engineers, such investments could create opportunities in semiconductor process engineering, RF device characterization, advanced packaging, automated testing, and electronics manufacturing.
The state is expected to highlight these opportunities at the 31st CII Partnership Summit, scheduled for November 12–13, 2026, in Visakhapatnam.
