Bengaluru's HIMIL Hi-Tech Electronics has announced that two RF and microwave engineering research papers from its team have been accepted for presentation at IEEE MAPCON 2026, highlighting the company's contributions to applied RF research.

According to Ratnesh Kumar Gaur, the research work involves Rudra Sankar Banerjee, Sumana E. N. and the HIMIL engineering team, with the accepted papers covering two important areas of RF systems and power amplifier design.

The first paper, titled “Adaptive Hybrid Direction-of-Arrival Estimation in Contested Electromagnetic Environments: A Qualitative Framework,” focuses on direction-of-arrival (DoA) estimation, a critical technology used in radar, electronic warfare, signal intelligence and antenna array systems.

The second paper, titled “Closed-Form Analysis of Load Mismatch Propagation in Two-Way Doherty Power Amplifiers,” addresses load mismatch behavior in Doherty PA architectures.

Understanding impedance mismatch and its impact on amplifier operation is important for improving the performance, efficiency and robustness of RF power amplifiers.

For RF engineers, these research areas are particularly relevant to modern radar and electronic warfare systems, phased-array antennas, wireless infrastructure and high-efficiency RF transmitters.

The acceptance of these papers at IEEE MAPCON 2026 highlights the growing participation of Indian electronics companies in RF and microwave research, connecting practical engineering challenges with technical contributions to the broader microwave community.
